We Train Teachers and Schools in Methods That Work

MasterMind Prep offers research-based, practical professional development services to help schools build capacity with best practices that focus on accelerating student achievement. The process uses experienced consultants to empower school leadership and staff to achieve better results for all students—especially those struggling and behind grade level (including with exceptional needs).

Our professional development focuses on one or more of several areas

• Response To Intervention: How to implement and manage an RTI program in reading or math for any grade level. This is a combination of Driving with Data and Targeted Intervention.

• Driving With Data: Implementing or improving a research-based Curriculum-Based Measurement benchmark assessment and progress monitoring system in every classroom

• Getting Control: Implementing a positive behavior management system in every classroom

• Targeted Intervention Strategies: Implementing effective reading, language arts and math invention practices and programs in regular classrooms or tutoring programs during the day or after school. Topics include reading comprehension, decoding, fluency, math problem-solving and more.

Not all of the strategies or programs can be implemented in one year. We recommend working with schools collaboratively over 1-2 years to build internal capacity and the ability to maintain the programs over time with minimal, if any, involvement by us in the future.

• An experienced lead consultant to build a personal relationship and work with the school leadership team and staff during the entire process

• After initial training, we assign one consultant for every 10 teachers to ensure that we have adequate time to monitor and coach each teacher

• Intensive staff development with training, monitoring and coaching to improve student achievement and ensure program quality

• 1-2 days of initial on-site training and consulting followed by 1-2 days of on-site coaching per month with web-conferencing, phone consultations and email support

• Proven, research-based supplemental intervention strategies in reading, language arts and math with curriculum and teaching methods for regular classroom, Title I/EC teachers or tutors

• Satisfaction guaranteed or you can terminate our contract if you are not satisfied with the quality of our training after the initial training session(s) and first coaching visit.
